Data sources and licences

Most school and public holiday records are retrieved from OpenHolidays API. Its processed database is made available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Database reuse may require attribution, keeping the database open and sharing adapted databases under the same licence.

Generated and government-sourced dates

• United Kingdom: an approximate England-pattern generator based on published term-date conventions.
• Ireland: official standardised breaks from gov.ie Department of Education circulars; summer is excluded because it is not standardised.
• Greece: a national-pattern generator including Orthodox Easter calculations.

Accuracy

Regional and school-level calendars can differ. Verify dates with the relevant school or education authority before making a booking.
